Commis Chef

 We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Permanent Commis Chef to join the team at The Glasshouse in Caulfield. If you’re all about good food, good people and a bit of controlled chaos — we’d like to hear from you.You’ll work with a solid kitchen team who know how to get the job done, back each other, and still have a laugh when things get hectic. What You’ll Be Doing In The Kitchen

  • Jumping in to support senior chefs with prep, plating and service when things get busy

  • Running your section during service and keeping things moving on the pass
  • Keeping your station clean, organised and ready for the next wave of tickets

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience in the real world)
  • Food Allergens and Do Food Safely Certificate
  • Experience in a busy pub, bistro or high-volume kitchen
  • Solid understanding of basic cooking methods and how to execute a recipe properly
  • Willingness to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
